Desktop Originator Training
Class Overview
This class is presented for the mortgage professional who spans
an experience level of beginner & up. It is expected that the
student arrive with a competent understanding of the basics of the
mortgage industry and/or have previously completed the Mortgage
101 class. The information presented in the class will begin with
an overview of FannieMae's Automated Underwriting System. This topic
is quite extensive and we have allotted a large block of time to
address it as comprehensively as possible. This discussion leads
into defining basic terms as well as an overview of MornetPlus and
Desktop Originator on the Internet. After the morning break, the
students will continue with more discussion on these topics. The
morning session is completed with a question and answer period for
as long as the students have questions. Normally this will last
between 15 to 30 minutes.
After a lunch period, where the student is on their own, we resume
the class promptly at 1:00pm with a discussion of the different
embedded systems. A complete discussion of these packages will take
the class to the afternoon break at 2:15. After the break, the class
resumes with a discussion of FannieMae's underwriting guidelines.
The final topic of the day will be tips and techniques in getting
better submissions when you are using DO. A final Q & A session
will round out the class that will dismiss at 4:30pm.
